There is growing evidence that a new line of 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrids with larger screens is coming from ASUS, as evidence of the TP300L has already been seen on the Internet, along with a 15-inch model, the N542L. Now a new model has appeared on FCC, and the ASUS TP500L will come with a 15.6-inch screen, larger than the two previous models.
While we would live to share with you the entire ASUS TP500L specs, as you would imagine, we were only given partial specifications as to this upcoming hybrid device. Firstly, there is that 15.6-inch touchscreen display, SSD, but not capacity at this time, 4GB of RAM, Intel Haswell processor; again no speed has been given.
Connections wise, we can tell you that this upcoming model will come with 3 USB ports, one is 3.0 and the other are 2.0, Ethernet and SD card. The ASUS TP500L will run the latest version of Windows 8.1.
The ASUS TP500L user manual has also been put up on the FCC website, but that is about all we can tell you about this device for now. However, we do hope to learn more pretty soon, as the FCC is pretty much the final hurdle ahead of a public release.
On a final note, considering these specs are not exactly going to light up benchmark test scores, this will bode well for the ASUS TP500L, as it should be very easy on the wallet.
