Paragon servers to close with refunds and petition

It is with sad news that we report on the decision to close the Paragon game servers down permanently. Epic Games have just confirmed the bombshell news, revealing that all players will be able to get a Paragon refund, regardless of where they bought the game from.

The official closing down date of Paragon servers on PS4 and PC will be on April 26, 2018. The reason for the closure according to Epic Games is the inability to be able to ”grow Paragon into a MOBA that retains enough players to be sustainable”.

Epic Games has apologised for the situation with a lengthy statement which you can read in full here. They’ve also committed to issuing refunds to every single player who purchased the game and the refunds will come directly from Epic too rather than retailers or through Sony and Steam.

How to get a refund for Paragon on PC:

Head to this link here and you’ll be able to fill out a form where you can request your refund. If you are playing on PS4, you’ll need to first link your account and then you can follow the same process.

Is it truly the end for Paragon though? Not if some determined gamers have the last say. We can see that a Paragon petition to keep the servers up and running has now had almost 20,000 signatures which will no doubt attract the attention of Epic Games.

Let us know your thoughts on the closure, if you have any questions about the refund or if you would like to see the game remain open and ran by the community.
