We have seen a lot of new camera’s being released lately, and Panasonic with their new Lumix range are amongst the companies who are trying to get us to part with some cash this holiday season.
Vlad Savov of Engadget has done a comparison of the new Lumix GF2 and the model it replaced the GF1. The first thing which was noted was that the new model feels a lot closer to a typical compact camera compared to the older GF1, a reported 19 percent smaller. Another small difference is the grip on the right of the camera.
On the back of the Lumix GF2 Panasonic have gone about tidying up the device, by removing a lot of the buttons in favor of the new touchscreen interface. A luminous iA button which switches on the intelligent auto mode has also been added. Video capture can be recorded in AVCHD format in 720/60p or 1080/60i.
Check a video below of the two cameras, and head over to Engadget to view more photos’ of both the GF1 and GF2 side by side.
