Panasonic Lumix G2 and G10 Price and Release Date

Panasonic has finally announced the price and a rough release date for its LUMIX G2 and LUMIX G10 shooters. These new additions to the G Series will cost $799.95 and 599.95 respectively and will be released in late may, 2010. So what can we expect from these Micro Four Thirds cameras?

The first thing that you need to know is that the LUMIX G2 is the first camera to come with a digital interchangeable lens system, along with a removable touch LCD screen. All the technology in this model is a revolution compared to the G1; this is evident with its 720p High Definition video mode.

As for the Panasonic LUMIX G10, this has a compact portable design that uses the unique Micro Four Thirds mirrorless system; this helps to do away with a number of other components that you find in a normal DSLR camera.

These cameras will be in direct competition with the Canon EOS 550D DSLR, which you can read more about in our recent post. For more details on both Panasonic cameras visit Engadget
