Yesterday we told you about an image that had been leaked about a possible upcoming announcement of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3. Today the new Lumix has been officially announced by Panasonic and we have some of the details for you.
The new Micro Four Thirds camera will come with a 16-megapixel sensor which will provide quality images according to an article on Geeky Gadgets by Julian Horsey. It will also be capable of 1920 x 1080 full HD video recording that has stereo sound in AVCHD.
It also comes with a full swivel 3-inch touchscreen on the back, which allows owners to focus on the subject by simply touching it. Once the user has locked on to the subject the camera auto focus will automatically readjust if it moves.
There is also a dedicated video button on the G3, so users can change to video mode quickly so not to miss that special moment. A hotshoe for when the built-in flash is not sufficient is also available for connecting Lumix flashes. The camera will come with a 14-42mm zoom lens kit this June costing around $699.99/ £630.
