Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic Platinum Review: Overclocking beast

Last week we saw a host of GTX 460 graphics cards hit the market, such as the Asus NVIDIA GTX 460, we even offered details of a 30-page review, which certainly makes for a good read. The next version of this GPU that needs a closer look at is the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic Platinum.

As always TweakTown is on the ball once again and has run a series of tests for their extensive review of the card, and one thing looks certain — this is an overclocking beast. Palit has certainly pushed the GTX 460 to it limits by overclocking it by 125MHz.

TweakTown did not want to offer just an ordinary review — they wanted to try and get the 460 to outperform Gainward’s GTX 470 Golden Sample. They certainly make things hard for themselves.

Visit the link above for the complete review, but their final thoughts of the card was one of shock. It seems that they never imagined the GTX 460 to be as powerful as what it was, that’s all thanks to some help from Palit.
