Original Galaxy Note 10.1 Kitkat update live

Earlier on this month we told you that an official Kitkat update had gone live for the popular Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. Now, it gets even better with some very surprising news regarding the original Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

For a tablet that launched back in 2012, you would be forgiven for thinking that it wouldn’t be due any more notable updates after Jelly Bean and certainly not even thinking about Kitkat.

However, prepare to be amazed as it looks like an official Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Android 4.4 Kitkat update is on the way soon. Better yet, we can also provide you with an manual update right now as sources confirm that the update has been leaked early.

This is apparently the very same update that Samsung will plan to roll out officially for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in May or June according to the guys over at SamMobile.

It’s also Android 4.4.2, not Android 4.4 so it really is excellent news for those loyal consumers who still have their old tablet lying around. Just to check, this update is for the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet with a model number of GT-N8000.

If you are looking to download this right away, you’ll find the relevant links and instructions here. Remember that this is still an unofficial software update as such, so take responsibility for your own actions and remember to back up your data.
