Optimistic Batman Arkham Origins review score

The release date for Batman Arkham Origins is almost upon us, with just a few hours to go, and as ever there are no reviews on the Internet, or so we thought. We have managed to locate one review, and to our surprise is very optimistic because it has a rather decent review score.

When we saw the first Batman Arkham Origins trailer and gameplay videos we thought it was going to be second-rate when compared to what we have seen in the past from the franchise. However, because the game has been taken over by another developer the results are tremendous to say the least.

The developer could have gone down a different route and spoilt the game, but they have allowed Batman Arkham Origins to stay true to what made the franchise so good. It is this reason why this Xbox 360 review feels it is the best game in terms of its combat system and value for money.

We have picked out some key points from this first review, such as Batman being more naïve because he is just starting out in his life of fighting crime. However, the reviewer from VideoGamer does pick up on the fact that the villains can often seem a little out of place, as the developer has struggled to work them into the game seamlessly.

Batman Arkham Origins was scored an eight out of ten in its first review, but we have already seen a few disagreements to this rating. We have already heard from one gamer who said that “without Rocksteady the new addition to the franchise has lost its touch, and as a result deserves just a 6 or 7 tops.”

However, others would not agree, as it has been said that “this is better than the previous two Batman games.” Although it is clear this is a controversial comment, one that we hope you will comment on.
