Oppo F9 launch dates announced with VOOC charging

Oppo has become one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world and now we are happy to confirm availability details for the upcoming Oppo F9.

The Oppo F9 is going to be launching this month, first in Vietnam and the Philippines on August 15. Soon after, there will be a launch in India on August 21 and the handset is expected to hit the market elsewhere officially by the end of August.

The device is going to be unique on the market, by the fact that it will ship with VOOC charging which uses a different 5V/4A standard to offer extremely quick charging times.

Oppo has been using this heavily during their marketing campaign for the device, promising 2 hours of talk time with just a 5 minute charge.

Elsewhere, the Oppo F9 specs are a good match to current flagships on the market. It will offer a 6.3-inch display with a 1080×2220 resolution, MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 16MP + 2 rear camera and a 25MP selfie camera on the front.

Another big talking point about the Oppo F9 is the inclusion of a notch. However, it’s no ordinary notch as Oppo have opted for a teardrop style notch which users are already labelling as extremely attractive as far as notch designs go.

A 3500mAh battery will be packed inside, making this a very promising device at a fraction of the price compared to the likes of the iPhone X and Galaxy S9.

Let us know your thoughts on the Oppo F9 and if you would like to pre-order one in your country.
