Following on from the release of the popular Opera Mini browser, we can tell you that it looks like some countries are going to be getting even more good news. Russia MTS subscribers specifically will be able to get unlimited access to premium games and apps thanks to the launch of the App Market in the country.
Opera Mini launched recently and the creators are calling it the fastest mobile browser in the world, which will surely spark some friendly debate from Chrome and Safari fans.
Either way, the Opera Mini goodness is spreading to Russia this week, as a deal has been made to allow MTS subscribers to receive unlimited content through the App Market.
The Market is going to contain premium apps, including apps such as Angry Birds Star Wars II, Modern Combat 4, N.O.V.A. 3 and many more. The subscription will also give MTS users access to new apps that have been promised to be added each week, so content remains fresh.
An App Market which is subscription-based is an interesting idea for Opera users. Imagine if this idea transferred over to the US with Google Play, with Google striking a deal with app developers to make certain paid-apps over here included for free with a subscription.
Have you switched over to Opera Mini now? If so, what are your experiences of it so far compared to Safari, Firefox and Chrome?
