Opera Mini for iPhone: Already Over 1 Million Downloads

A few days ago we announced that Opera Mini for iPhone had been approved, this previous article also showed that Opera Mini appeared to load website significantly quicker than the iPhone’s Safari web browser.

It has recently been revealed that Opera Mini surpassed one million downloads at the App Store in its first day of availability, this has shot Opera mini to the top of the free apps chart in 22 different markets including the US, UK, France, Germany and Australia.

Apparently the browser is not yet perfect, there are still said to be page rendering issues on some sites, however we are hearing reports of many satisfied users on iPhones, iPods and iPads.
