OnLive Scrapping Monthly Fees: Add Supported Instead

As some of you are probably aware OnLive offer a cloud based gaming service which allows people to play high-end games on low-end machines, up until now they were charging $4.95 per month for this service, however this has now all changed.

According to OnLive’s CEO there will no longer be a monthly charge, instead the site gains its income from payments for games, the OnLive beta has proved that this business model works.

This allows OnLive to concentrate on gaming rather than the access side of things, which will undoubtedly be a good thing for OnLive users.

From what we can see there are no plans to bring the monthly subscriptions back, if you are interested check out their completely free trial (here).
