OLED iPhone X models with Apple pencil backed again

We recently told you about rumors suggesting that the iPhone X would be upgraded this year to support input from the Apple Pencil stylus.

Now, there has been additional reports suggesting that this will be the case but emphasising the fact that the Apple Pencil will only support the 5.8-inch iPhone X and the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus and not the cheaper 6.1-inch LCD based iPhone.

The new report comes from Taiwan based Economic Daily News, who adds that adding Pencil support for the two iPhone X models, will help to separate the three tiers of iPhone coming this year and offer a suitable comparison point for consumers deciding which model to purchase.

What we haven’t heard rumors about yet, is whether the Apple Pencil is going to be the exact same Pencil that supports the iPad Pro, or if Apple are planning to introduce a smaller version which is exclusive to the new iPhone X models.

Either way, it is going to be a surreal moment to see the very first stylus pen operating on the iPhone this year. Does that mean Steve Jobs was wrong all those years ago?
