With the Mobile World Congress fast approaching the excitement levels are starting to build up because of the prospect of some amazing announcements. However, all eyes will be on the Samsung Unpacked 5 event, which many of us believe will be used to unveil the Galaxy S5.
The keynote will take place on February 24 2014 at 20:00 CET, although as yet we are not certain if Samsung will show off the Galaxy S5. We know Samsung held a separate event last year to unveil the S5, but this lacked the glitz and glamour, and also had a very wooden presenter.
In the build-up to Unpacked 5, Samsung has shared an official image on Twitter, which you can see above. The image shows off 9 features and we have to wonder if these are a hint as to the features we can expect to see on the Samsung Galaxy S5?
These features are as follows: Speed, Outdoor, Curiosity, Fun, Social, Style, Privacy, Fitness and Life. We’re going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the Galaxy S5 could come with improved security; this would make perfect sense considering the enhanced security for the iPhone late last year.
Another reason why we feel this image relates to the S5 is Fitness, as this would tie-in to the Galaxy Gear 2, which will be released at the same time as the S5 and the two would work in harmony with each other.
Cause for concern — If these are to be all of the features that appear on the upcoming Galaxy S5, then that could mean a case of even more bloatware, something that Samsung seems to be making a habit off.
However, if you are unhappy with all this extra software taking up valuable storage space, then you always have the option of the Google Edition, which will no doubt be released shortly after the standard Galaxy S5 release date.
