Official Nexus 7 cases stock update

We have some good news for those of you who are desperately trying to get hold of an official Nexus 7 case. It’s been clear that case stock has been somewhat unreliable due to heavy demand since launch, but we’re pleased to say that the Google Play store is now displaying a healthy ‘in stock’ status now.

If you are not interested in some of the Nexus 7 case solutions that we told you about here, there’s a good chance that you are all after an official one. Trying to buy one has been a problem though and a very frustrating one at that. Priced at a very reasonable $19.99, customers were originally greeted with frequent ‘out of stock’ messages, but not any more.

You may want to sprint to the Google Play store here and get yours as they are currently back in stock, in a variety of colors. The case is a simple one, but compliments the Nexus 7 design perfectly and you definitely can’t grumble for $19.99, seeing as there are some crazy alternatives out there for prices up to $100.

The case has been designed in a way so that you can still charge the device whilst inside, and for those of you who are asking – no it doesn’t have the magnet on / off feature that the iPad Smart Cover cases have, unfortunately. However, if you are looking for a Smart Cover style case for your Nexus 7, you may want to check out the selection over at SFBags that we have picked out for you.

What is the situation for you at the moment? Have you now successfully managed to buy a case from the Play store, or is it still saying no stock in your area?
