Official Battlefield 3 beta start date and early access code info

One of the hottest topics in today’s gaming world is the Battlefield 3 beta, today EA DICE has finally confirmed everything we needed to know about it and we can finally reveal the BF3 beta start date, how people who purchased the Medal of Honor Limited Edition / Tier 1 Edition can get early access to the beta and much more.

Let’s start with the official launch date to the beta, everyone no-matter what platform you prefer will be able to access the Battlefield 3 beta from September 29, however if you bought the Limited Edition or Tier 1 Edition of Medal of Honor you will be able to gain access to the beta from September 27 – there are some exceptions so check out this link for full details.

If you purchased either the Limited Edition or Tier 1 Edition of MoH via Steam prior to July 26th you are eligible for an early access key, to get it simply load up Steam and go to Medal of Honor – here click “CD Key” and you should see the “Battlefield 3 Open Beta Early Access” key – this as you would have probably guessed is the key you need for the beta. To get the beta for PC you will need to download the Electronic Arts Origin Client (here), once Origin is installed and you have logged in you must click the gear icon in the menu bar and select “Redeem Product Code” – here simply enter the key found in Steam and voila come September 27th you should have beta access.

For console gamers things are a little simpler, PS3 gamers who are eligible will see the beta in the PlayStation Network Store, whilst Xbox 360 gamers will receive an email with instructions and your early access code.

The image below shows some of the many questions which are answered over at the official Battlefield 3 website, check out the link for fully detailed answers. One thing which we think is important is the fact that stats earned during the beta won’t carry across to the full game as the ranking system is still being adjusted.
