Obama could go hands-on with iPad 3 first

Earlier in the year there were rumors that suggested that the iPad 3 would be released later this year – well about now really. However, this is not likely to happen now, and we do not expect it to be released until early 2012. However, we have reason to believe that President Barrack Obama will be the first to go hands-on with the new iPad 3.

Now some of you may think that we are drunk with coming up with a statement like that, but not when you hear what we have to say next. AppleInsider recently learned that Obama was given a pre-release version of the iPad 2 before technology websites and long before the public had a chance to see how great the new tablet was.

While watching the video (below) you can hear the U.S. President sort of gloating that Steve Jobs gave him the iPad 2 early — then again so would we. People seem to forget that he is just a normal guy and loves his gadgets just like you or I. You have to hand it to Jobs, as he is always working for the good of Apple.

The whole world watches what Obama does, and knowing that he is an avid BlackBerry fan would have been a shock for RIM to see him with an iPad 2 long before a PlayBook. We have to wonder if Tim Cook will repeat the gesture before the third-generation iPad is released? It would’ve been nice to see Cook give the President the iPhone 5/4S early, at least this way we would not be anxiously waiting for the unveil during Apple’s keynote later today?

Do you think that this was clever on the part of Steve Jobs? Should RIM have done the same thing with their BlackBerry PlayBook?
