There has been a major update to the NVIDIA Shield TV box and we’re pleased to say that it is great news. NVIDIA has gone back and upgraded the 2015 version with 4K capabilities and more importantly Nougat support.
That’s right, Android 7.0 Nougat for the NVIDIA Shield TV is finally here and it looks great. That means you’ll get features such as picture-in-picture and a much faster performance compared to the NVIDIA Shield Experience Upgrade 3.3.
This is now the NVIDIA Shield Experience 5.0 update and it comes with lovely additions such as Amazon 4K HDR support, NVIDIA Games app which replaces the Shield Hub in a neater format, GeForce GTX 1080 support, GameStream 4K HDR, new titles added to the Shield Games app such as The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY and new media apps such as Twitter, NFL and Vimeo.
As you can see it is packed full of new features and those who currently own the 2015 original TV box should be very happy with this update.
