NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV update 1.2 enhancements

The NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV is getting a software update to version 1.2, and with it comes a host of enhancements to help improve the overall experience. However, the most important new feature is improved Netflix and Google Play streaming.

Also with this update users will notice a faster response time, and now the ability to 4K pictures direct to your TV. It was only a matter of time before increased 4K support came to the SHIELD Android TV, especially as more people and services now rely on what will soon become the standard.

However, you will only appreciate this new feature if you have 4K TV, as you get to truly enjoy those images you took with your 4K camera.

Other improvements made thanks to update 1.2 are enhancements for SD card auto-move setting, SHIELD Accessories Upgrade, notifications for when your SHIELD Remote batteries are running low, and enhancements for NVIDIA GameStream. However, you will first need to update to GeForce Experience v2.25 beta or later to benefit from this.
