Notion Ink Adam Tablet: Will You Pre-order?

We still do not know the release date for the Notion Ink Adam tablet, but it does look as though you will be able to pre-order the device today, December 9, 2010. We reported back in August that there will be two versions of the tablet, 3G and Wi-Fi — much like the Apple iPad then, which as we know will be its main competitor.

Today’s pre-order release date rumor comes from Chris Davies from SlashGear, who said that he got his information from a trusted source. Having looked on the company website there are no clues as to when they will start pre-orders, but it does looks as though numbers will be limited — could this be a way to make it seem more popular than it is?

Davies also adds that the Notion Ink Adam Tablet will be one of the first devices to get the upcoming Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which will soon be seen working in the new Nexus S smartphone. Let us hope that 2.2 Froyo will be able to handle the new tablet, as users will have to wait at least two weeks after they get their hands on the new device?

While there are those of us who believe that the Notion Ink Adam Tablet can take the fight to the Apple iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, John Biggs from CrunchGear does not believe in the device. His readers commented that he was biased against the device, but he just said that he thinks that we will be disappointed. So is the new tablet hype or is it a worthy contender in the ever-increasing tablet market?

One thing that it does have going for itself, it will be available in a range of colors, which we recently discussed. For full details of the new tablet visit the Notion Ink Adam website. Will you pre-order the new tablet?
