Nook 7″ 8GB HD Tablet vs Nexus 7 specs showdown

Are you currently weighing up your options at the moment with regards to deciding which 7-inch tablet to buy? The Nook 7″ 8GB HD tablet is going to be a popular choice this year, but how does it compare to the Nexus 7, which arguably is the popular choice among consumers?

The great thing that we can see, is that the likes of the Nook 7-inch and the original Nexus 7 tablet are getting cheaper to buy. This is quite fantastic, considering that the entry level prices for both of these tablets were already perceived to be cheap and excellent value for money.

In a direct Nook HD 7 Vs Nexus 7 specs battle, we would have to say that the Nexus 7 from Google is a lot more favorable. Reasons for this include the Nexus 7 having a quad-core processor compared to the Nook HD which only features a Dual core 1300 MHz ARM Cortex-A9 chip.

If you want to buy either tablet for gaming purposes, you’ll also find the Nexus 7 is more worthwhile as well, due to the inclusion of a powerful quad-core Tegra 3 chip. Customization on the Nexus 7 is a lot more versatile as well, with users able to update the Nexus 7 all the way up to Android 4.4 Kit Kat, while the Nook HD ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Despite that though, the Nook HD is fantastic for casual purposes, especially when you primarily use the device to listen to music, read books or watch video content. The user-interface is a lot more friendly than the Nexus 7, so that is an important factor if you just want to buy a tablet that is easier to use.
