Nokia self-regenerating Phone Battery: Details Regarding Patent

Over the last few years we have seen huge improvements in the smartphone industry, however one thing which hasn’t moved on greatly is battery-related technology.

Nokia have recently filed for a patent which may seriously impact their future handsets, this patent is for a self-regenerating phone battery.

This will apparently be made possible via a “piezoelectric kinetic energy harvester”, which will in affect allow a handset to recharge it’s battery in the same way that a kinetic powered watch does.

If this patent is accepted flat mobile phone batteries could become a thing of the past, anyone who has ever had a dead mobile phone battery will know how annoying it can be.
