Nokia Lumia 2520 gaming potential

If you are a looking for a new tablet on the market that can handle heavy gaming performance, you may be wondering what Nokia’s Lumia 2520 can do since it runs on Windows 8.1 RT. We have a quick heads-up for you now showing what general performance is like and whether it can stand up to the likes of Apple’s iPad and the best Android tablets out there.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 is a gorgeous tablet to look at. It has everything you want, including a stylish keyboard add-on which we took a look at in a previous report here. Now we switch our attention to gaming and whether the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and Adreno 330 graphics system can deliver the goods.

In actual fact, it looks like it’s not the Lumia 2520 hardware at fault, but the fact that there simply isn’t enough apps and games to take advantage of.

It was considered to be the greatest risk for anyone picking up a Windows 8.1 RT tablet, especially since the Lumia 2520 doesn’t have the ability to run full PC apps like the full version of Windows 8.1 does.

There are some games available on the tablet though and they run like a dream. The graphics are well up there with what any Android tablet can handle in comparison, so there’s no question that the Lumia 2520 tablet is a device that is setup nicely for gaming usage.

Would you agree that apps are badly needed on Nokia’s new flagship? If you have been playing games on the Lumia 2520, let us know your thoughts on this.
