Whenever a new phone is about to release consumers get an urge to get their hands on it early, but only those that are worth it. This happened with the BlackBerry Z10, where the UK was first to get their hands on the new smartphone, with the likes of the US. Having to wait a little longer. This is just what is happening with the Nokia Lumia 1020 release, as consumers in India have already taken to an online store and started to bid on the model, as they know they will not receive the new smartphone until September at least.

Nokia Lumia 1020 price at auction in India — As yet we do not have an official Nokia Lumia price in India, but converting the US price would come out at around Rs 42,000. However, the price on the online store begun at Rs. 47500, and at the last look it has increased to Rs. 51450.

So far there are less than 7 bids for the Nokia Lumia 1020, and this does not mean that people are not interested in the handset, it’s more like they would rather wait for the official Nokia Lumia 1020 release in India. Come on, why would you want to pay that amount of money, when you can pick up an iPhone in India cheaper?

The latest Nokia handset is going to prove very popular in India, and proof of this is the small bidding war, as this is the first time that a smartphone has seen people bidding on it on the online store ahead of its release.

One of the top Nokia Lumia 1020 features is its 41-megapixel camera, and it’s this that will help entice a range of photographic apps. If you can’t wait to get your hands on one, then you only have to wait until the end of the month, as AT&T will release their version, and it will come with an exclusive color as well. If you live in the UK, then you’ll have to wait until September to get your hands on the Nokia Lumia 1020.
