It’s been a while since we heard anything from Nokia concerning the C7, but we are going to be hearing a lot more about it as Nokia have started shipping the “affordable N8,” their second Symbian 3 phone.
Costing around €335 ($470), the C7-00 is said to be a poorer-mans Nokia N8 having an 8 megapixel camera instead of the N8’s 12, and no HDMI output. More specs can be found on a previous post here. You can also see a video preview of the C7 here.
But the C7 does have some notability, in that the screen response and battery life to that of the N8 are said to be superior. It is also thinner, lighter and comes with an AMOLED display.
Nokia have two more Symbian 3-based smartphones lined up for release before the year is out, the E7 and the C6-01, and with most of the bugs now ironed out and a less-phone heavy release schedule ahead of them, could Nokia’s new wave of phones compete with the iPhone and the growing number of Android handsets?
