If you are not after a state-of-the-art smartphone you may be wondering what handset’s you should consider, well perhaps you should take a look at the Nokia 2720 Fold, this handset is pretty simplistic, however should be sufficient for a lot of consumers out-there.

The Nokia 2720 features a 1.8″ main display, which offers a resolution of 128 x 160 and up to 65,000 colors. As it is a clamshell handset it also features a secondary display, this display has a diagonal of 1.36″ and a resolution of 128 x 160, this display is black and white.

Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2.5mm audio connector. In terms of network connectivity the Nokia 2720 Fold will connect to EGSM 900/1800 & GSM 850/1900 with EDGE support, for more specs check out this link.

Despite it’s simplicity the handset has received some pretty favorable reviews, a recent review by YourMobiePhoneReviews scored the handset 80% in terms of design, 77% in terms of features and 79% in terms of usability, not bad for a handset which is available SIM-free from Amazon for just £50.49 (which roughly equates to $75).

In terms of features there is not a huge amount to talk about, as you would expect it offers MMS, other mentionable features include an FM radio, a music player (which offers MP3 and AAC support), a phonebook that can store up to 500 contracts and an organizer with built-in calendar.

I think you will agree that whilst the Nokia 2720 Fold is in no way a competitor to handset’s such as the HTC Incredible or Motorola Droid, it will offer a nice solution for people who want a low-end simple-to-use handset.
