Nissan to recall 4,367 Infiniti cars in China

It is a mixed fortune for Infiniti at the moment because they are looking at helping to secure a fourth Constructors’ Championship F1 title for Red Bull Racing, and the release of the JX80 with its numerous design changes. However, some of this has now been overshadowed by a new Nissan recall in China.

Nissan has had to issue an Infiniti JX35 recall, which affects 4,367 imported models in China. The reason for this is because the JX35 anti-lock braking system is defective.

The Infiniti JX35 models affected by this recall are those built from August 2, 2012 to September 20, 2013. With these ABS issues, owners are warned that braking distance would be extended, meaning you would have to allow longer for your vehicle to come to a complete stop.

According to the report, Nissan China Investment Co., Ltd will take control of the recall, where they will reprogram the ABS from October 23, 2013.

This is not the first issue for the JX35, as Nissan also issued a recall for the SUV back in March due to faulty airbags. As far as we know there will be no new Infiniti JX35 recall in the US, although with the NHTSA is out of action, who knows when the next recall will be forced upon by the Government agency.
