Nissan Thinking Of Recall: 48,700 Light Trucks Affected

There seems to be a lot of products and vehicles being affected by manufacturing or design defects recently. Automotive News is reporting that Nissan North America is currently thinking of issuing a recall that will affect 48,700 trucks that are built in the U.S.

Nissan were still talking with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the recall late on Friday afternoon. The recall will involve some of the 2010 Nissan, Armadas, Titans, Pathfinders, Infiniti QX56, Frontiers, and Xterras models. This latest recall comes after Nissan recently identified a problem with some of its airbags fitted to some of their models.

This latest problem concerns some welding defects on a lower suspension control link. A bushing collar could crack as result of the welding under certain conditions. Nissan are not currently aware of any accidents caused by the fault, and the recall is expected to start next week.
