Nintendo’s new hardware: What could it be?

Who said that the Nintendo Wii HD rumors were dead and buried? Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed over the weekend that the company are working on new hardware.

As reported from VG247, Miyamoto was speaking at the Annual Japan Media Arts Festival when he revealed the juicy news.

Of course, he didn’t mention or hint of a Nintendo Wii HD console, but it’s exciting to think that a new version of the Wii could be on the way, right?

VG247 also make the point that further announcements on new Nintendo Wii hardware is expected at next month’s GDC event, so it is certainly an exciting time for Wii owners.
