Nintendo Wii: Super Mario Kart classic release this week

We have some great news for Nintendo Wii owners now, as we can confirm that one of the greatest games of all time – Super Mario Kart, is heading to the Virtual Console this week.

As reported from Eurogamer, the game will be available this Friday, priced at 800 Wii Points (£5.60/€8) – which is the usual price, nice to see they havent bumped the price up at all.

I still remember Rainbow Road on 150cc, Special Cup like it was yesterday. I also remember the countless times I fell off the track too.

Question is though – will you be putting some time aside to step back in time for a classic SNES game? I’m sure it is pretty tempting for a lot of you.
