Nintendo: Our products were not fun in 2009

Here is some interesting news for you now, as Nintendo supremo Shigeru Miyamoto has admitted in a recent interview, that Nintendo’s products in 2009, were not ‘fun’ enough for gamers.

As reported from VG247, he made his comments in a recent interview with The Economist, adding that there are always ‘ups and downs’ in the gaming industry.

You can’t knock the man for his honesty can you? The quote from him reads: “The fact that in 2009 we were not able to sell more than we did in 2008 was simply that in comparison, we were not able to produce fun-enough products.”

Interestingly, his comments come in a week in which Nintendo dropped the bomb on their new 3DS handheld – consisting of all-new hardware similar to the DSi, offering 3D visuals without the need for 3D glasses.

What do you make of his comments? I predict big things from Nintendo at E3, I really do.
