Nintendo has just given fans another update on the status of when their Online service will start for the Nintendo Switch console.
Now, thanks to information posted on the company’s official Nintendo of America Twitter page, we know that Switch Online will definitely be available towards the end of September.

We’re guessing Nintendo are still putting the final touches on the subscription since we still don’t have a solid date, but all of the contents included, as well as pricing are all available in advance through the official Switch Online portal.
Key features of Switch Online will be online multiplayer access to games, Save Data Cloud backup for seamless play and also a promise of regular NES games which have been upgraded to support online play for the first time.
Nintendo will charge $19.99 for 12 months access to Switch Online, or $34.99 for a Family Plan per year which allows up to 8 users to enjoy access to Switch Online.
Is it a fair price considering Nintendo now intend to offer a similar service to PS Plus and Xbox Live? Expect more details on Switch Online as we approach September’s launch.
