Now that Nintendo’s dual Nintendo 3DS press events are going ahead we can finally confirm some important information regarding release dates for US and UK consumers, a US price has been given, however there still a mystery surrounding a price for Europeans.
Let’s start with the all-important details for United States citizens, Nintendo will launch the 3DS in the US on March 27th for $249.99, we are also assured that there will be 30+ games released between the handheld’s launch and the beginning of E3 2011 (June 7).

I have just watched the Amsterdam event and can confirm that UK (and the rest of Europe) consumers will be able to pick up a 3DS in stores from March 25th, however the price will be set by retailers.
It is extremely frustrating to hear that no European price has been revealed, however at least we do know that it is arriving in Europe on March 25th, our best guess is that it will be priced between £220 – £250.
