When looking for a new camera people often have a set budget, but what if you do not care if you spend £500 or £3,000, as the only important thing to you is what the features are that appeal, or shall we say are more practical for your needs? If this is the case, then the job is a lot harder for you in one sense, as there is a huge choice available, although made a little easier if you stick to one brand, such as Nikon.
Two models of camera that have proved very popular when looking over reviews are the Nikon Coolpix P900 and D810a. You could not get two very different cameras, and it is for this reason why we thought a comparison of their features was in order.
It’s clear that the Nikon P900 and D810a have their advantages when price is not a factor, although the latter does have a lot more going for it, but its price does reflect that. Take the former; it has a great 83.3 zoom, image stabilization, and a flip-out screen making it ideal to shoot movies. As for the latter, it has a large 8.1CM, high resolution fixed screen, a 36.2 megapixel sensor, and a high 51,200 ISO.
There are four main Nikon Coolpix P900 advantages, and those are the flip-out screen while the D810a does not have one, the price, as the former is about a 6th of the price, 7 fps vs 5 fps and has an optical viewfinder.
However, the Nikon D810a does have a lot more going for it, such as 36.2 MP compared to 9.7 MP, 1200 shots vs 360 shots, a larger screen, interchangeable lenses, and a lot more, details of which can be found in this specs comparison.
