Nikon D5100 Camera: Price, Specs and US, UK Release Date

We have some great news for those of you who are looking for a brand new dslr camera, as Nikon has just announced their latest model, the D5100 DSLR camera. We have a list of specs and features, as well as the all-important pricing and release date details for you as well.

You won’t have to worry about having a below par camera sensor with the D5100, as it has been confirmed that it will ship with a mighty 16.2 megapixel sensor, complete with the ability to shoot 1080p video at 24fps, 25fps, or 30fps, as reported from Engadget.

Other specs include an adjustable LCD screen, image sensor cleaning system, airflow control system, up to 4fps continuous shooting, 100-6400 ISO, night portrait and 3D tracking modes, HDMI out, .MOV video playback and much more. It’s also worth pointing out the that D5100 is ten percent lighter and smaller than the previous Nikon D5000 model.

As for price, it will cost you around $800 / €777 / £670 for the main camera, or $900 / €904 / £780 with an included 18-55mm VR kit lens. If you’re interested in buying one, it will be available on April 21st – you’ll find pictures and full specs over at Engadget.
