If you are used to a compact camera, but feel you are not ready to jump up to a DSLR, then you might want to consider a superzoom bridge camera. There is a huge list of models available to you, although we have heard that the Nikon Coolpix L340 is a good option. There are a few reasons for this, although the main one is because of this budget price.
Don’t think for one moment that you are getting a cheaply made device that doesn’t have much to offer, as its main features is that 28x optical zoom, allowing you to take images from a decent distant away. This would be the equivalent of having a 22.5-630mm lens that you get on a DSLR.
Nikon has made a few changes with the L340 over the L330, although they are only marginal, one of which is that increased zoom range. Some of the main specs that is another selling point for this camera is its 20.2MP CCD sensor, HD 1280×720 video recording, and ISO80 to ISO1600. It’s a shame it lacks 1080p, although what do you want for a camera that costs as little as $150 in certain stores, although we do see many of these retailers still charging over $200?
Nikon’s Smart Portrait mode is another great addition, as it helps make images look far better than they were at the point of taking them.
For a better look at all its specs, along with learning more about what this model has to offer, then please feel free to watch the Nikon Coolpix L340 review video embedded below.
