Nike Fuelband SE coming on November 6 for $149

Nike just took the stage today and announced the second iteration of the Fuel Band line up, the SE – the latest in wearable tech. The SE has a bunch of integrations over its predecessor. This time it supports Bluetooth 4.0 for syncing up with the user’s smartphone and it also is water-resistant.

In addition, the company added some new software features as well, including keeping track of your Fuel score during a specific period of time. You can also compete with friends to see who moved the most. The new software now allows you to share info regarding the walk or run session the user finished, including the session itself, location and even attach a photo – that would obviously need your phone to consult. The Nike FuelBand SE will be compatible with PC, Mac and iOS but not Android – expect an update for the app soon. The company also made use of the iPhone 5’s 64Bit chip, by releasing the Nike+ app for the device that can be used to track your movement, too, and keep track of your runs and your Fuel score separately from the FuelBand.

CNET’s Roger Cheng also stated on Twitter that the device will be available for purchase on November 6 retailing for $149, pre orders start today, and will come in a selection of color accents: Volt, Pink Foil or Total Crimson. Stay tuned for further updates.
