Nexus 7 2 vs. iPad Mini, specs analyzed on video

Now that the new Nexus 7 has been revealed during a special event yesterday, the big question many of you will be asking is, how will it compare to the current iPad mini? And so the best way to answer that is by looking more closely at the new tablet, or more so the Nexus 7 2 specs, as this is what most people will be calling it.

Nexus 7 2 vs. iPad mini specs — It’s clear that ASUS and Google’s intentions were to take on the iPad mini, and so giving their 7-inch tablet a much-needed specifications bump, and so in the video we have for you above the Nexus 7 2 and iPad Mini specs analyzed in a side-by-side comparison.

Both these tablets are almost the same size, although the ASUS Nexus 7 2nd-generation is a little narrower, but slightly thicker as well. A huge difference, one that will call for some tough decisions to be made is the plastic design of the new Nexus 7 compared to the anodized aluminum of the iPad mini.

Because it is a little smaller, the display on the Nexus 7 is also smaller, but its sharper than that of the iPad mini, a reason why some people are calling for the iPad mini 2 with Retina display, although that might not happen this year because of battery concerns.

The new Nexus 7 performance is expected to be better than the iPad mini, this is because the former makes use of the latest in mobile processor technology, whereas the latter is using a processor taken from the older iPad 2.

While we would like to go on and breakdown some of the other specs and features, it’s far easier just for you to watch the video and then come to your own conclusion as to which is best, the new Nexus 7 or the iPad mini?
