Nexus 7 2, 2013 refresh battery capacity and weight MIA

Earlier today we reported that Nexus 7 2 pre-orders had already begun, even though Google and ASUS has yet to announce the new tablet. The report also looked at a new unboxing video of the Android 4.3 tablet, and now we have even more news, if we can trust it that is.

We’re expecting the unveil of the 2013 Nexus 7 refresh later today, but before that the specs and benchmark tests have been revealed by Android Police, and if we are to trust them, we are concerned about the lack of some vital information.

Nexus 7 2 battery capacity has not been detailed in the 2013 Nexus 7 specs, and so we have no idea how long its battery life will be, but we assume it will be an improvement over last years model. Then there is the matter of the Nexus 7 2nd-generation weight, as that to has been omitted in the so-called specifications list, along with the type of display as well.

The new tablet from Google and ASUS is said to be codenamed Razor, but we’re sure it will not keep that name; well it is a little similar to Motorola’s phones. As for those Nexus 7 2 benchmark test results, it’s no surprise that the new tablet performed rather well, considering it is running Android 4.3, if true of course.

The benchmarking tool used was Quadrant, or AnTuTu as it is more commonly known and tested many different features of the tablet, such as CPU, 3D graphics, and I/O. We do find it strange why they would wish to compare the new Nexus 7 to the HTC Desire HD, Motorola ATRIX 4G, HTC One X and the Optimus 2X, as they are all smartphones. However, there is the Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is the only tablet in the test.
