Nexus 5 launch month nailed

According to reports the Nexus 5 launch is expected this October with Android 4.4 KitKat, and this looks set to be another one of those flagship phones that potential consumers have been waiting for. With the amount of selection available now to customers waiting another month may be ideal if you are holding out for the right handset for you.

With news that the Nexus 5 is just around the corner we are hearing reports that the specs are similar to that of the LG G2 including the likes of the 5-inch HD display quad-core CPU and LTE support. While sources suggest the new pure Google phone will launch in October it seems like the mobile phone industry is becoming relentless in providing more and more new and improved handsets, so with the acquisition of Android 4.4 KitKat, maybe the world of smartphones could do with a break.

In a brief but informative article on Digitimes, they discuss the possibility of Google partnering with LG Electronics once again to launch and develop a co-branded 5-inch smartphone. They also highlight the similarities when it comes to the specs of the LG G2, along with news of an October release.

October sounds pretty legitimate now and last week we mentioned next month as the release date for the Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 KitKat. We talked about the constantly changing hardware with the use of the new 4.4 KitKat, and how the Nexus 4 was released a month later. We also highlighted the possibility of a threesome in terms of October releases.

Rumours suggest the new Nexus 10 could also be including within this period, although we didn’t rule out the chance that the new Nexus 5 could actually be a new Nexus 4 2013 model. Are you holding out to see what October brings?
