Nexus 4 bumper review, the Poetic Atmosphere

The Poetic Atmosphere bumper case for the Nexus 4 has recently been put up against the Poetic Borderline and the LG/Google official bumper to see what comes out on top, considering the Borderline version was not regarded as perfect and questions were asked about whether this would do much to protect the vulnerable Nexus 4? With that in mind, the Poetic Atmosphere is said to be more of a case than a bumper.

With a semitransparent design, this unique style has small gripping feet that will be ideal for slippery surfaces and in a similar fashion to the Poetic bumper, this is part plastic with rubber infused around the front and feet. The rubber also fills in the top of the case to give the phone a snug fit, as well as rubber over the top of the power and volume buttons, which is regarded as a great improvement on the Ringke case that has large cutouts.

A full extensive hands-on of the Poetic Atmosphere can be seen over on Lanoc Reviews, relaying everything from packaging and picture to performance and overall opinion. As far as the rubber covered buttons are concerned, this is not as nice as the LG/Google bumper with its real buttons, but still better than many others on the market. The main improvement with the Atmosphere is having an actual back to the case and this gives the user more confidence in the safety of their device if it is dropped.

The semitransparent plastic is regarded as surprisingly grippy and the performance was impressive, although the inclusion of a high quality screen protector would be welcomed. When it comes to value for money, this case is less that $10 on Amazon so it is highly recommended and regarded as moderately better than many other cases with great grip, although it does cover most of the back and can be tight for some headphones.

In addition to the Poetic Atmosphere review, we thought our last post might be of interest that looked at issues with choosing between the Nexus 4 bumper and the 3rd party cases. This is a problem for some people while stocks replenish for the official Nexus 4 bumper case. Do you feel the Poetic Atmosphere is good value for money?
