Nexus 10 Android 4.4.1 download via manual install

For those of you who own Google’s Nexus 10, you will be pleased to hear that you can now download Android 4.4.1 via manual installation. The latest version of Android dubbed KitKat, is not yet available over the air but can be yours now if you want it.

The update will come from Google’s servers and features several upgrades, at just 51.3 MB in size. We do not recommend installing the update if you have concerns about damaging your device or losing your data. The safest option is to wait for Google to offer an OTA download, but we know some people will want 4.4.1 early.

Nexus 7 Android 4.4.1 update Dec. 2013

You can download the latest version of Kitkat by carefully following a detailed guide from experienced Android users. Whilst some of you will still choose to download the update, the responsibility will solely be with the owner of the device whether it is successful or not.

Anyone who decides to go ahead with the manual installation should back up their data as a precaution, even though nothing should be erased anyway. We heard news recently of the same update also being available for the Nexus 7. We wish good luck upon anyone going through with the manual install.

We are interested to hear from anyone who has downloaded Android 4.4.1 to their Nexus 10 using this method. How did you find installing the latest version of KitKat, was it worth it?
