Nexus 10, 4, and 7 freebies vary by country

It is always good to receive a freebie when you purchase a new gadget, and it seems this is exactly what you get when you purchase the Google Nexus 4, or Nexus 7 and 10 tablets. Following this detail being confirmed a few days ago we’ve seen a number of our readers confused over what is exactly free with the Nexus 10, 4, and 7. Some people have tried to download the magazines and movies that others state are free, which then leads to a charge and certainly annoyed a few people.

Google Nexus 10, 4, and 7 freebies vary by country — it seems what you get for free will depend on the country you live in, and we can confirm that Google Play in the US offers a Transformers movie for free on the Nexus 4. This is joined by some TV episodes that apparently include Planet Earth and Falling Skies, although they only give a taster and not the full series. You can either stream or download the freebies, although it is worth pointing out that the Nexus 7 / 10 feature different items for free and not the Transformers movie.

If you recently purchased the Google Nexus 10, 4, or 7 what freebies did you receive? We’ve heard about a few free magazines in Australia and not much else, although one user from that part of the world did state the Nexus 7 tablet featured a free Transformers movie earlier on this year. Another user in the UK stated they tried to download some of the items for free on a Nexus 4, but it “wants money” to download. We tried our Nexus 7 and managed to download Planet Earth, Ice Age, and some select items from Google’s Play Magazines and Play Music for free. We’d also love to hear about your experience with the Nexus 4 and shipping times?
