While Google has managed to remain completely silent throughout CES 2014 on the Nexus 10 2014 release date, it looks like we may finally be seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. The Nexus 10 2 tablet release could be on the way at last, as we can confirm that Google has now stopped sales of the original Nexus 10 on the Play Store.
We had a feeling that the Nexus 10 2 may not become available once Google were satisfied with sales of the first model. Now, this looks to be proven with a new status on the Play Store listing for the first Nexus 10.
In recent months, consumers could only purchase the 32GB version of the Nexus 10. Now though, you can’t even buy that any more. Is this the clearest indication that the new Nexus 10 tablet is finally on the way over the coming weeks?

For weeks, consumers have had to put up with thin rumors – with Google doing consumers no favors either with the continued silence. Head to the Play Store now though and it looks like this could be the clearest piece of evidence yet.
How amazing would it be if you can finally buy the new Nexus 10 by the end of the week?
Interesting story: Believe it or not, I actually had dinner with a Google employee last week who told me that he already has the new Nexus 10 tablet in his possession – but he also said that he “had no idea” of Google’s plans to release it to retail.
I was told that the Nexus 10 tablet is “completely finished and ready to release”, but we already knew that anyway after the premature new Nexus 10 listing last year.
