The new so-called Nexus 10 2 will be demoed later this month with Android 4.4 KitKat on board, and if rumors from Android Police are correct, then we could see a new Downloads UI that features a lighter design.
One image on Android Police gives you a taste of what that design might include, but this has been featured on a phone rather than tablet although we have been told that Android tablets will also feature a lighter design when running the Android 4.4 KitKat update.
You can expect to see the Downloads user interface feature an icon with a cleaner design. Android 4.4 KitKat will also feature an action bar along with a Sort button that can jump from the bottom to the top of your tablets screen.
These details for a new lighter Downloads area are still rumors, so take them with a pinch of salt until Google reveal full details.
In the meantime, we would love to know if you would like to see a second generation Nexus 10 with Android 4.4 KitKat revealed this month? Do you like the idea of a lighter design?
Feedback we have seen already in regard to this claimed change looks a little negative. Most people state they prefer the Holo Dark rather than a light version. “I hate the idea of them moving away from a dark color scheme, I prefer the dark interface more”, said one commenter.
Leave a comment with your thoughts on this expected design change in Android 4.4 KitKat. Last month we heard about the Nexus 10 2 KitKat release arriving during this holiday shopping season, and if you missed it then you must see the Android KITKAT 4.4 video below revealing the future of confectionery. The makeover to Downloads UI can be read about in more detail via this article, although more Android KitKat 4.4 images can be seen here showcasing new Location Settings, Tap and Pay, and more. It should be noted that these screens are not on a tablet, but you can expect much of the same on your Android tablet.
What would be your ideal Nexus 10 2 specs and features? Another photo landed last week hinted at the Google Nexus 10 2.0 being made by Asus with a launch very soon, so take a look at that photo right here and share a comment below with your thoughts.
