Nexus 10 2 KitKat release during holiday shopping season

Since Google and ASUS released the new Nexus 7 2013 version there has been great expectations for the Nexus 10 2. Going by the release of the smaller tablet we expect the larger model will also be called the new Nexus 10, but we already know there will be one difference, and that is the fact ASUS will be building the new model and not Samsung.

Knowing that Google will make KitKat available to the Nexus 4 sequel in October, it is obvious the Nexus 10 2nd generation will come with KitKat as well. As for the Nexus 10 2013 model release date we very much expect this to be in November, and with this in mind it will take full advantage of the holiday shopping season.

If this is the case then the Nexus 10 2 will be released around two weeks before Black Friday, which means sales will be inflated because of the huge number of shoppers who go out to find a bargain. However, it is not just November 29 where shoppers will be trying to get a deal, as there are always Doorbusters in the build-up, and this should be where the 2013 Nexus 10 should benefit the most.

Sales will not stop there, as the new Nexus 10 should do well all the way through the busy holiday season, so Google and ASUS need to get it right because the iPad 5 will also be out less than a month before, and so will need to bring with it a host of new features just as ASUS did with the 2013 Nexus 7.

The biggest benefit and a huge selling point will be the addition of Android 4.4 KitKat, although we have yet to learn details of what new features and improvements it will bring.
