WhatsApp only updated their Android version of the app yesterday, March 16, yet we can already see what the next update will have in store for users.
The next WhatsApp update will come with new formatting options, which includes messages as bold or italics. Ok, so we know this is not a massive feature, but it is when you consider that WhatsApp was first introduced just as a simple chat app, and has now progressed into something far better.
Once this update goes live to the public you will then be able to format text from inside WhatsApp. All you need to do this is by adding an asterisks at the start and finish of your text. And when you want to add italics, you just need to _between underscores_.
For those that do not know, this is the same formatting that can be done in Google+, and it’s not as though you will forget what you need to add before and after the text, as it’s very easy to remember.
That’s not all, as there are also some other improvements coming to the sending document feature. As for the other change, this brings improvements to how Google Drive local backups are handled, along with phone numbers no longer show up front and center in the new Settings screen.
