Tesla car owners have been happy to share their feedback about features they like, but also don’t like on social media, especially with the Tesla in-car web browser and how it needs a software update.
The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, responded to one tweet in the last 24 hours that wrote about the need for a better web browser, as seen below.
It’s no secret that the browser has problems and needs to work consistently, so seeing Musk say Tesla is about to update the in-car browser to Chromium is great news.
In a nutshell, Chromium is Google’s open-source browser project and won’t mean vehicles get Chrome right away, as the upgrade basically just creates the code for Chrome and other browsers. We’ll see exactly how this update delivers shortly.
