Having already debuted the Sorento SX in Atlanta last year, Kia brought it along to the New York Auto Show for a larger-scale unveiling. Sales for the Sorento have been good in the U.S. and it is already the manufacturer’s top-seller in the first months of 2010.
The SX is due out this summer and will offer more equipment and new styling to the range, with a reworked front end and an inch taken out of the ride height to give it a more butch stance.
Performance comes from Kia’s 276 horsepower 3.5-liter V6, and with exterior upgrades such as Dual Flow Damper shock absorbers and smart new 18-inch wheels. The interior however gains leather seats, reverse camera, voice-activated navigation and high quality Infinity audio system as standard.
