Microsoft is really going out of their way to ensure that the Xbox One ticks all boxes as a complete entertainment and media hub for family and friends.
Now, that realization is one step closer with the confirmation that a long awaited feature is now rolling out to select users – Xbox One Game Gifting.
The Xbox One Insider Program has been updated with preview build 1710 and with it the support to buy games and gift them to your friends as a digital code in one seamless transaction.
You can choose to send it straight to a recipient’s friends list, or to an email address where the user will get their 25 digit Xbox Live code to download the game to their system.
As far as we’re aware, this will work on all Xbox Marketplace content and will include latest releases Destiny 2 and FIFA 18 if you are looking for a quick Christmas gift idea from the Xbox Store.
This will be available to all Xbox One owners in a forthcoming update, but as you can see from the screenshot above courtesy of Windows Central – it’s live right now on some Insider Program accounts.
Do you have access to this feature right now? Let us know what you think and if you are looking forward to gifting games to your friends and family this Holiday season!
